"Intraspect features experimental composers, sound artists, instrument builders and improvisors from around the UK and beyond. Each evening explores a range of practices that challenge what music and sound art could be, often involving live electronics, found objects, improvisation, and video.

October 18th features composer and modular synthesist Christine Webster from France. Webster regularly performs in modular festivals across Europe and her ambisonic and virtual project Empty Rooom has been featured in International art centers and VR showrooms from Paris to Lebanon and Singapore. Along with Polyphones, she is the cofounder of the French experimental women composer network.

Also performing as a quartet: Phil Durrant, Phil Julian, Bill Thompson and Mark Wastell. They have performed with each other in various combinations with other musicians over the years, most recently in The Seen at Cafe Oto, and at The Tribute Concert to Pauline Oliveros in May 2018, but this will be their first outing as a quartet.

The evening opens with performances by students of the University of Surrey’s Creative Music Technology programme."
